    Is there an Amazon Echo Dot AirPlay Hack | What You Need to Know

    Echo Dot is a smart speaker that can be operated over voice command with Alexa. It can be used in any room to control your smart home devices. It works as a standalone speaker or Bluetooth speaker when paired with the iPhone. Since Echo Dot works with Bluetooth and WIFI, the users may look forward to using AirPlay. Unfortunately, Echo Dot is not compatible with the AirPlay feature. In other words, there is no direct way to use AirPlay with Amazon Echo. However, those who still want to know if there is a way to use the feature on the Echo Dot speaker can proceed further.

    Is there an Amazon Echo Dot AirPlay Hack?

    No. There is no hack to use AirPlay or AirPlay 2 on Echo at the moment. The Echo Dot users have been left with no other option other than pairing and using the Bluetooth option to stream music on Echo Dot speakers. So, you can only possibly listen to music or audio on Echo Dot from your iPhone via the Alexa app. It is just like the way you can’t use AirPlay with Alexa.

    How to Listen to Music on Echo Dot Without AirPlay 2

    Until the Echo Dot AirPlay 2 support is made available, iPhone users can pair Alexa

    [1]. Unlock your iPhone and install the Amazon Alexa app from App Store.

    [7]. Follow the on-screen instructions, and if prompted, sign in with your Apple ID.

    How to Stream Music on Echo Dot Via Bluetooth

    [1]. Launch the Amazon Alexa app and sign in to your account.

    [2]. Tap on the Devices icon at the bottom.

    [9]. Echo Dot will say, “It is now connected to (your name) iPad/iPhone.”

    [10]. Once the device gets paired, you can start streaming your favorite music on your Echo Dot device.

    How to Use Echo Dot as Bluetooth Speaker Via iPhone

    Since Echo Dot works as a wireless Bluetooth speaker, you can directly connect your iPhone to it and listen to the music of your choice. It works for a wide variety of music apps, including Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, and more.

    [1]. On your iPhone, swipe down to launch the Control Center.

    [2]. On the top right corner of the screen, tap on the AirPlay icon.
